ULTRAMAX - High wattage cartridge heaters

"ULTRAMAX" high wattage cartridges belong to the new generation of electric heating elements; they make it possible to use high watt loads in small spaces, and thus ensure excellent reability in heavy-duty work conditions.

The special technology of their construction makes them the most advanced type of heating elements.

The entire length of the wire wound around a magnesium oxide core is in a peripheral position, very close to the metal sheath, with a very thin and compressed insulating wall; this allows excellent heat exchange that maintains the temperature of the resistance wire much lower than that of other heaters in which the wire is in a deeper position.

Besides the application of advanced technology and precise inspection techniques' the "ULTRAMAX" cartridge heater owes its complete reliability to the use of first-rate material obtained from the best sources in the world.

Any type of ULTRAMAX heater can be manufactured with buil-in thermocoulpe.

The thermocouples joint can be situated at the following points :

UTC types

UTC Type 1

  • Grounded in a special bottom disk.
  • Guarantees excellent reading of temperature and rapid response.
  • Widely used in injection systems for plastic materials.

UTC Type 2

  • Insulated in proximity to the bottom disk.
  • Suitable for avoiding disturbances to very sensitive equipment.

UTC Type 3

  • In contact with metal sheath within a 12mm cold section located at the center of the heater.
  • Guarantees excellent reading of temperature and rapid response.
  • Cannot be manufactured with diameters less than 10 mm.
