Drum Heater

Drum Heater CF - CF/TV - CF/TVT

The heating element is a Copper-Nickel wire wound around a small diameter fibreglass core and embedded between two layers of silicon impregnated glass cloths.
A fitted stainless steel spring makes the mounting easy.
A thermostat graduated from 0 to 11 (approximately 10�C to 150�C) allows the temperature maintenance adjustment.If a precise temperature is requested, use either a thermometer or a thermostat with the sensor in the
liquid.

The drum heater is weatherproof. Heating or temperature maintenance is done with 1, 2 or 3 heaters.
A standard type for 200 liter drums is available ex stock.
Other types are supplied on request.

Applications

Maintenance of drum temperature in order to keep the fluid characteristics to products which become viscous at ambient temperature.
Light heating, when time is of little or no importance.
Freeze protection.

Range of self-limiting heating tapes for freeze protectionor high temperature maintenance.

  • Self limiting 15,20,30 or 50 W/m at 10�C

  • Tinned cooper or stainless steel braid for mechanical protection or earthing.
  • Resistant against corrosion through fluoropolymer outer jacket.
Approved to CENELEC/IEEE standards for use in non-hazardous, hazardous and corrosive environments

Types and Application

FSP
Basic version protected against corrosive chemical agents through a fluoropolymer jacket.
FSP/T
With tinned cooper braid.
FSP/I
With Stainless Steel braid.
FSP/TF
With tinned copper braid for the earting and fluoropolymer outer jacket. Ideal for chemical industry, where the thermotape may be exposed to corrosive solutions or vapours.

Heating Hoses

Very flexible although composed by: heating element, high pressure armour, thermal insulation, and outer mechanical protection heat. The heating system complies with all international standards and is completely sealed.
The thermal insulation is protected against mechanical damages through a flexible metal braid, the supply leads wires are protected against tear and stress. Working temperatures with PTFE tubes from -70�C to +250�C, with flexible stainless stell tubes from 190�C up to 600�C . Working pressures up to 480 bar.

Applications

Distribution without heat losses of oils, grease, tar, hot melt, resin, water, milk, chocolate, paints, plastic, sealants, gases.
